   Abhinandan Varthaman retires from Indian Air Force and joins regional carrier FLY91 as commercial pilot

   Former Indian Air Force Group Captain Abhinandan Varthaman has officially transitioned to commercial aviation by joining regional airline FLY91. Varthaman, widely recognized for shooting down a Pakistani jet during the 2019 Balakot airstrike engagement, is set to fly ATR aircraft for the carrier.
